Given absolutely no enviromental resistance, how long would it take a population that was increasing by 8% per year to double?
A little over 9 years.
(1.08)^9 = 1.999

On 12/22, a large coal mining facility spilled toxic sludge into a Tennesse river that is the water source for all of Tennesse, Kentucky and parts of Alabama.
The TVA has claimed that the water is “safe” and “not toxic”.
They are lying. Do not drink your water if you live in those areas. And be wary of the air that is floating around. Both the water and air contain high, concentrated levels of arsenic, mercury, and lead.
The coal industry is not your friend.
Edit: Harriman.
Another Edit: OKay, some resources are saying 500 million, others are saying 300 million. I’m not sure on the exact number.

Super nice guy at reception of Enviro-Can but no real contact with an aware civil servant yet. They should realize it freaks out more people that have seen/documented it happening by not monitoring it or explaining it. This after a certain point adds to hysteria and then that makes them/enviro canada complicit to causing folks to worry. Canadians own that agency last I heard, you see we are all very wealthy it’s just the keys to success only go out to the highest bidders, the rest get debt and feel wealthy. Google RADARSAT2 you paid for it!

DON’T BELEIVE ME READ ABOUT KURT VONNEGUT’s BROTHER, I met Kurt V in the 90’s on a film set and he was a pretty pesimistic guy towards the planet (set of All the kings men, unreleased TV Vonnegut theatre):

I wanted to see if the high paid university civil workers had any thoughts on cloud seeding in Canadian airspace, what I got was a refferal to the commercial Weather network channel. If it is just sodium chloride & or calcium chloride basically sea salt & calcium those in charge of our enviroment should be able to allay some of the more ominous public impressions of this spraying stuff.
They told me to check weather channel, is it Taboo or are the guys and gals there too busy to look outside?
Quality of audio is as bad as their answers unfortunatly. They work for you and if this is occuring they owe it to warn us so kids are not breathing it when it falls with rain.

If so what technology is used to reduce these enviromental effects?
I don’t know anything about it, except I went to a salt mine in Europe. Things to consider are:
1) The transportation needed to get the workers into & out of the mine; does it pollute?
2) Taking out the natural resource; will it cause eventual collapse of the caves it’s in?
3) Does the industry attract workers to the area, who then need water & other things, contributing to a drain on the ecosystem, there?
4) Do the people & the industry interfere with native species in the area?
5) Taking the salt & distributing it; does that use trucks or planes & pollute & use other resources like gasoline?

If I was to get a BS in Enviromental Science with an emphasis on atmospheric science, could I be accepted into the NASA astronaut program? What if I got that BS degree, then mastered in atmospheric science? Thanks
Absolutely yes. Dr. Harrison Schmitt is a PhD geologist who walked on the moon in 1972. He was the last man to set foot on the moon. He spent a total of 22 hours walking on the surface of the moon during that mission. He collected 249 lbs of rock samples on the moon. A true field geologist!
