Speaker Newt Gingrich and his wife, Callista, join Planet Forward to share their ideas on Green Conservatism—a new environmental approach that focuses on market-oriented solutions, innovation, incentives, entrepreneurship, science and technology. They believe that Green Conservatism will create better environmental solutions at a faster rate than regulation, bureaucracy, litigation, and big government.
Rather than argue over the red vs. blue partisan debate, Newt and Callista believe that all Americans can agree on innovative solutions that will allow a healthy environment to co-exist with a growing economy.
With market incentives, tax credits, and prizes to encourage scientific and technological breakthroughs, America will have the potential to preserve its environment and natural resources, develop clean and abundant energy, and strengthen the economy and our national security.
Join Newt and Callista as they explain how we can make our nation the global leader in conservation for future generations.

I want to se why is the protection of the environment is more important than the economy growth………….and why is the economy growth more important thant the environment please if u can help me
Countries that have advanced economically turn their prosperity towards improving the environment.
So first comes the economy then the environment. If we can help 3rd world countries become more prosperous they will help their environment more.
Pollution levels in the US have been steadily decreasing thanks to economic prosperity. There’s no reason protecting the environment has to hurt the economy just like there’s no reason helping the economy has to hurt the environment.
We should look for ways to help both at the same time. Solutions like extra taxation only hurt the economy, so we need better solutions than carbon taxes.

Recycle any materials possible that you are done with. Recycling allows continued reuse of material which reduces demand for harvesting of more resources which can be destructive to biomes. for example : cutting down trees in the rainforest for paper, reduces world’s total oxygen production and co2 increases volume ratio, contributes to global warming, reduces biodiversity = loss of species whos usefullness may not have been fully realized (cures for diseases, food if nothing else), then throwing that paper in the garbage once it’s been used. More land has to be cleared for a landfill, said land is now useless for anything else. Housing, and other development, Farming etc. then consume an even further reduced pool of the valuable yet rapidly disappearing and utterly necesary untouched natural world.
Reuse. Don’t dispose of something that can still be used. It’s a waste, and they’ll only have to make more.
Reduce. Limit consumption to only what you really need. Don’t leave electrical devices on when not utilizing them. Purchase those which are the most energy efficient.
Volunteer. Clean up litter in your local community, plant a tree, try to get involved in an organizztion.
If you wanted to reduce dependence on farming you could grow and/or your own food.
Just identify what the problems are and be creative.
hi guysz..it’s blu…im hoping you guys can explain and answer my question…i hope you can answer and explain it..
Usually Physics cannot protect the environment as much as Biology can but Physics only can identify the changes in the environment. But now a days Physics cannot even detect whether it rains. Physics can prevent some disasters that may occur in the earth but this depends only on the eligibility of Physicisicts.
seems pretty straightforward, its an observation that this is a small world, and things interact, and while its good to save the forests here its also necessary to save the rainforests, the oceans, and the atmosphere everywhere.
