I was searching around and came across something that said that horses and their owners bond better when they are in a more natural environment. I was just wondering if this was true or not. If it is true then how can it be?
If this means out to pasture instead of stall kept, here is why:
The horse’s mind is more relaxed because of the natural movement
The horse’s body gets exercise by everyday movement instead of a forced lunge
The horse can view you as alpha horse because you learn to control normal movement the same way it would happen in the herd
If you were prison kept and turned into an exercise pen for 1/2 hour a day, how willing would you be?
So… What are ways in which clothing manufacturers can operate with the lowest impact on the natural environment?
why do they effect the environment? the don’t mix or use
chemicals

I would like to know what adaptations the hummingbird goes through to survive in the wild and also enable them to meet the demands of their natural environment.
Thanks in advance
xxx
They have to eat often because they burn so much energy with their high metabolism. They are adapted to drinking high energy nectar. They have long thin bills to reach the nectar and long tongues to lick it up.
They go dormant at night and their body temperature drops significantly to save energy.

will we develop ways to use genetic engineering wisely and respect the natural environment of the world in which we live?
We already do this- most crops are genetically engineered to make the best crops in the given environment. Genetic engineering can mean anything from gene splicing to selective breeding. Every breed of dog that we know of has been genetically engineered for traits such as hunting, sheep herding, etc. Plants are bred for color, or for taste, robustness, etc. The big tomatoes you buy are engineered by selecting the best plants and continuing heritage of these plants.
In other words, genetic engineering is already being used wisely and in respect of the natural environment in equal terms with our own population. If we didn’t have genetic engineering, there wouldn’t be enough food to feed our population. For every pound of meat you eat, ten pounds of vegetables are needed. As an American, I eat a lot of meat (most citizens in developed countries do), and I can’t imagine supporting myself off the amount of land in my backyard, especially since I live in Boston, and there’s not a lot of land available, also I can’t grow crops for 8 months of the year. Genetic engineering makes it possible to get the most crops from available land, and to do it in a cost-effective manner, and make good crops. The more we understand about biology, the more safely we can apply non-traditional GE methods without carry-over effects on humans.
This doesn’t mean that every form of GE is safe or responsible, but in the US, there are many strict regulations for the food we eat, and there’s the option in almost every supermarket to eat organic food, if you’re really worried about things like this. I think it’s best to eat organic when I can, but I won’t shy away from modified food.
Good to see that you’re concerned about the environment- that’s always great to hear. Cheers!

There is so many different courses focusing on animals I dont know exactly which one I should take if I want to study animals in their natural environment. There is so many to pick from: Zoology, Environmental and Recourse Economics and Management, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, and Wildlife Ecology.
Of those choices zoology or wildlife ecology. The main thing is to have a good base of knowledge in biology, and being able to focus on ecology and evolution helps. Comparative anatomy and animal behavior courses are also useful.
Aside from coursework you might want to look in places you can volunteer working with animals in captivity like a nearby zoo, and look into what the professors in your school are doing as they may have positions available for volunteer or paid work on their research programs. It doesn’t have to be specifically with what you want to work with as the the basic things you learn from such work will carry over to different areas.

Explain what happens as in the natural environment when a river flows into the ocean. Where would the freshwater move? Where would the saltwater move? Why?
I really don’t understand this question, can someone explain it to me please?
hey miss i am not that smart..even i dont understand this qt. long time had been in school. but geography was my fav subject. i guess the fresh water will move near the shore whereas the salt water will go down deepn in the ocean. that is the logical thing that will happen. was this a trick qt…..
